Bus
There are two bus stations in Luang Nam Tha and each serves a different set of destinations. For Muang Sing and Muang Long, use the bus station in the southern part of town on the main road. It’s about 300 metres south of where most of the backpacker accommodation is.
The other bus station is about 10 kilometres south of town and serves all those inter-provincial locations you are most likely going to visit such as Luang Prabang and Huay Xai. A tuk tuk will cost 10,000 kip per person to get here, but you will need to negotiate.
If you have any problems, just ask at the Forest Reteat Cafe and they should put you onto a tuk tuk driver who will charge you the correct price.
